Sean’s New Car

Posted by Zane under: Personal .

Well, this morning after we had gotten packed, ready to go, and said our good byes to my family we got on the road only to meet back up with Sean & Katie one last time before our 10 hour drive home.  As we were going down the highway we called to see where they were at and Katie answered the cellphone and said they were at the Acura dealership.  So, we stopped by the dealership at about 10:15 a.m. or so while Sean finished deciding which car to get.  He originally wanted an Anthracite Metallic (dark grey) with Quartz Leather (light grey) but feel in love with the Nighthawk Black Pearl (black with a blue undertone) with Parchment Leather (light tan) and navigation.  After the sale was final, the dealership gave Sean & Katie their choice of Acura hats and Tino showed Sean how to work everything.  Katie, Jenn, and I snapped a few pictures of Sean & Tino while he was learning how to control everything.  Once Tino finished Jenn & I snapped a few pictures of Sean & Katie next to the new car.  Then we all got in and went down to Zaxby’s (Jenn’s favorite restaurant) for lunch and talked a little before Jenn and I had to get on the road to come home.  After lunch we ran back by the Acura dealership where Jenn and I were dropped off to get our car.  We followed Sean & Katie all the way down Laurens Road to I-85 where Jenn and I got on the interstate to start our journey home while Sean & Katie had to take the car on tour to show each of their family members the car.

Once Jenn and I were on I-85 we were smooth sailing all the way to the outlets in Gaffney where we made a pit stop at Polo and Nine West to see if we could find anything.  I got a shirt and Jenn didn’t see anything she liked so we got back on the road and really didn’t hit to much traffic until we reached I-95 just south of Richmond.  By the time we got onto I-95 it was close to dinner time so we stopped at Jenn’s 5-star Arby’s for a quick bite to eat and to refuel.  After dinner we got back on the interstate and continued north only to run into a hurricane type storm in Richmond.  The wind was blowing hard and the rain was coming down so hard that the fastest setting of the windshield wippers could barely keep the water off of the window.  You could hardly see the car 15 feet in front of you even with their lights on so everyone turned on the 4-way flashers so that you could see them.  We must have drove right through the middle of the storm because it only took a few minutes to get past it even at 20 mph.  Once we made it past the storm we really didn’t have any major delays with traffic all the way home.  We rolled in at about 10:30 pm, so the trip took right at 10 hours.  We all had a terrific time!

CONGRATULATIONS SEAN ON THE NEW CAR!!!!!

Now, as soon as Sean sends me pictures of his new 2004 Acura TL 5-speed automatic with navigation I will post them below.  But, until then everyone will have to wait and see.

One Comment so far...

Congrats Sean. I think you made a wise decision buying a Honda product. May the car live up to the Honda reputation!

Remember all the crap that you and Kevin gave me about the CRX? Well, look who wised up and went the way of quality and performance! Now, only if I could get my S2000!
