Fire Destroys Easley Restaurant

Well one of my favorite restaurants, Los Amigos in good old Easley, SC caught on fire overnight Tuesday. I can’t tell you just how much I miss that restaurant. Up here in the Baltimore Metro area it is hard to find a good Mexican restaurant, much less one that has excellent Pollo Fondio. If you’ve never had it, it is definitely worth a shot. Umm, my mouth just waters for it as I talk about it.
EASLEY, S.C. — An Easley restaurant is in ruins after an overnight fire Tuesday.
Firefighters were called to the Los Amigos restaurant on East Main Street around 12:30 a.m. Officials said it took nearly 30 firefighters more than half an hour to bring the fire under control.
Investigators said the fire apparently started at the front of the restaurant, which was gutted by the flames.
The State Law Enforcement Division is helping Easley officials investigate the fire, which is standard procedure for large commercial fires.
No one was in the restaurant at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.
