Post-Sean & Katie’s Wedding

This morning Jenn and I were up yet again extremely early, only this time we were up at 4:00 am. We had to get ready and leave my parents house by 5:00 am since Greenville-Spartanburg, SC (GSP) airport opens at 5:30 am and we wanted to be there right when it opened and our flight was at 6:00 am. When we arrived at GSP, Bob Newbill (Katie’s dad) was walking towards us as we entered the building. We shook hands and he asked if we were leaving this morning too, of course we were, he was dropping off Katie’s Aunt Sue since she had to get back to Seattle. When we got up to the gate Katie’s aunt was there and we talked to her for a few minutes and she wound up being on our flight. We checked in via the kiosk since there was a huge line at the counter. Our flight consisted of a one-hour lay over in Cincinnati, OH (CVG) and finally landing at Harrisburg, PA (MDT) at 10:15 am. By the time we got our bags and to the shuttle bus to the parking lot it was close to 11:00 am and then we had an hour and a half drive home. We got home right around 1:30 pm and immediately began to unpack and sort our laundry to do a couple loads of wash. Once we finished that we had lunch and then relaxed the rest of the afternoon. Jenn and I watched Miracle, what a great movie. Needless to say, that both Jenn and I will spend this week recovering. I’m glad that we were down there to help out in any way possible, and to think we actually thought about coming down on Friday. There would’ve been no way we could’ve gotten everything done in time. However, if Jenn and I had to do it again I don’t think we would change a thing. OK, so maybe we would’ve come down on Wednesday late afternoon.
