Pre-Sean & Katie’s Wedding

Posted by Zane under: People .

This morning Jenn and I were up at or before 5:00 am only to leave the house just before 6:00 am to make it to the Harrisburg, PA (MDT) airport for our 8:20 am flight. We got there at about 7:30 am and had no problems checking in or going through security. Our flight consisted of one lay over in Cincinnati, OH (CVG) and finally landed at Greenville-Spartanburg, SC (GSP) airport at 12:15 pm. Katie came and picked us up from the airport, as Sean had to work.

From there we went to get lunch at Los Amigos in Powdersville, which was excellent by the way, and worked out our agenda for the rest of the day. After lunch we stopped by Hamilton Jewelers in Easley for Katie to show us the watch she had picked out for Sean. While I was getting hair cut at The Main Street Barber Shop the girls went to Something Special, Jenn’s favorite shop. By this time it was around 2:20 pm and I called Kevin to see if he could come pick me up from the barbershop so the girls could get to Jenn’s hair appointment at 3:00 pm back in Greenville. They left and Kevin came and picked me up in his huge Blazer (with no A/C) as we had our own errands to run. First we went to Anderson to get the tuxedos from Thomas & Sons followed by a trip back to Greenville to get his paperwork for his new job and then he dropped be off at my parents house in Easley around 4:30 pm. I had to get a shower and get ready for stag night.

After I got ready to go I went to Sean & Katie’s apartment to pick Jenn up and take her over to Kevin & Kim’s house and drop her off so she could help Kim get ready for Katie’s shower. Kevin and I had to go pick over to Denny’s (Sean’s step dad) house and get him and then pick up Sean at his apartment and make it back to Outback in Greenville to meet Garry (Sean’s dad) and Josh (Sean’s brother). We stuffed ourselves with everything from appetizers to salads to our main course, needless to say we were very full. I wanted to get the appetizers and Sean my dinners as did Denny, but Garry steps in and picks up the whole tab for everyone, which was very nice. Once we got out in the parking lot I tried to give Garry some money to cover Sean and my dinners, but he wouldn’t hear of it. So, from there we went to Frankie’s Fun Park to ride go-karts. Denny, Kevin, and I went to the ticket counter to buy the tickets for four rides each which came to $64 and I laid down $40 and Kevin laid down $20 and we both walked off, but Denny would take the money, he just said that you better come pick up your money or it will blow away in the wind, so Kevin went back and picked it up and gave me back my money. First we road the regular road course which was pretty fun, then we used our last 3 tickets to ride the slick track. From accidents to loosing cellphones we had a blast and could’ve been there all night, but Gary, Denny, and Sean all had to work in the morning so we decided that was enough not to mention the park was closing.

After we dropped Sean and Denny off, Kevin and I went back to his house to get Jenn, while we there we spent a little time talking about what all happened at each party. I think we left about 11:30 pm and got back to Sean & Katie’s apartment at 11:45 pm. where we talked some more and finally went to bed some where around 12:30 am. Everyone slept so hard that night!
