Video iPods On The Horizon
Posted by Zane under: News .
This would be the perfect addition to an already great product. Now, if the iPod’s software was compatible with digital camcorders to directly stream the movie to the iPod, that would be great. Apple already includes Firewire (IEEE 1394) in their device which is superb, but if they could add BlueTooth and/or Wi-Fi the market would be theirs. This would make it easier for the wireless individual to add, update, or delete the information stored on their iPod.
One of the best things about prognostication is the “I told you so” satisfaction of a successful forecast, so over the past five years, I’ve made sure to point out all of my dead-on predictions. This time, however, I’m admitting to an apparently incorrect hunch. I thought that Apple would forgo an iPod portable video player (PVP), but the company is reportedly working on one.

Video iPod…interesting. Apple already makes the best laptop screen on the market and their large format monitors are tops too. As for Wi/Fi, I wouldn’t bet on it. They probably don’t want their nice clean MP3 jukebox to turn into a PDA/PocketPC. Bluetooth although would be quite nice!!!!!!!!!!
